Breakfast with Jesus
Anchor Scripture: John 21:12
The Beginning
Shortly before my natural birthday in October 2006, the Word of the Lord came to me asking us to start a programme with the following instructions:
(1) That the programme be named “Breakfast with Jesus.”
(2) That we should gather people together once a month in the morning hours and serve them breakfast, primarily of bread and tea.
(3) It should be a time of breakfast meal, praise, worship, the Word, and prayer.
(4) By instructing us to reveal month after month the names and titles of Jesus during the morning meal, we will discover that Jesus Christ is a lover of of names and titles.
In addition, there is so much to discover in the power embedded in the name of Jesus.
The Breakfast Programme has therefore been a platform to showcase this powerful mystery.
Over the years, we have seen diverse testimonies arising thereof.
(5) That it should be an interdenominational programme as well as an avenue to win souls for Christ.
(6) People should pray together and ask the Lord for something tangible as individuals, using the principle: Ask, Seek and Knock (ASK).
(7) The Lord then promised to answer our prayer and mingle with us as we carry out these instructions.
(8) Effectively, the programme started 2nd Saturday in October, 2006 in a local assembly at Amosu, Ipaja where I was a pioneering pastor.
It holds 2nd Saturday of every month.
(9) In 2009, we started the Open Air Breakfast with Jesus, taking the program directly to communities in Lagos, Nigeria and outside the country.
(10) In October 2009, the Lord gave us a mandate to take the program to 24 nations of the world.
(11) In the same year, I was led to put our monthly materials together as a book to reach out to nations and communities we would not be able to reach otherwise. The book is titled simply “Breakfast with Jesus”.
